Mission and Vision

Our Mission:
To glorify God, and by the power of the Holy Spirit,
provide opportunities for all people to know, love,
and follow Jesus Christ.

We pray we live this mission through the following Vision for Ministry:

to gather as a community of believers who are passionate about Jesus Christ;
to glorify God through Christ-centered worship, which is central to our corporate life; and,
to grow the Kingdom of God through opportunities for education, service, mission, fellowship and witness as the life-renewing Spirit leads us.

Description

WORSHIP TIMES:
We worship together each Sunday at 10:30 am, offering a traditional service on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays of the month and a more contemporary one on the 2nd and 4th Sundays.
Sunday School classes for all ages meet before worship at 9:15 am and nursery care is available. Be sure to join us for lunch after worship on the 5th Sunday of the month!
Services are live streamed on YouTube.
Children’s Christian Education Sunday School, 9:15 to 10:15 am
Youth Christian Education Sunday School, 9:15 to 10 a.m.
Adult Christian Education Sunday School Classes starting at 9am or 9:15am
Weekday Couples, Men's and Women's Groups also meet during the week

MINISTRIES:

ST. MARK EARLY LEARNING CENTER (ELC), a key mission and ministry of the church. St. Mark is committed to providing an excellent program for young children and their families which is affordable, developmentally appropriate, with active learning opportunities, and respectful of diverse cultures and races, while being built upon the foundation of a loving, Christian environment.
This preschool program nurtures the spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth of children in a climate of love and support through a Christian-based program of excellence. The ELC is licensed by Texas Health & Human Services; is a Texas Rising Star 4-Star program, and is the only preschool in Boerne that is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

CONGREGATIONAL LIFE MINISTRY mission is to offer programs and events that nurture and strengthen our faith community. The committee promotes and encourages Christian fellowship while attending to the well-being and unification of the congregation.

LOCAL OUTREACH MINISTRIES:
The Outreach Ministry of St. Mark seeks to encourage and facilitate the efforts of the congregation in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and extending the hand of justice, mercy and compassion in his name throughout the world.

Church programs include....

St. Mark Early Learning Center is the church’s community preschool. Outreach provides scholarships for children in need.

St. Mark Emergency and Family Assistance Fund is for families in our church who are in need.

Compassion in Action (CIA) meets twice monthly at the church making turbans and heart pillows for cancer victims, baby layettes for new mothers, lap quilts and shawls for the homebound and many other projects.

Jericho: Adults with special needs enjoy their social gathering in the FLC each 2nd and 4th Monday. Here they learn Biblical lessons & share a meal & music with friends.

Little Free Food Pantry is an on campus, free pantry for neighbors in need. It contains a variety of items from soups and peanut butter, to spaghetti sauce and boxes of cereal. Our motto is “Take what you need; give what you can.”

Support is also provided to the following local organizations ....

Blessing in a Backpack receives our financial support to provide food for impoverished elementary school children on the weekends throughout the school year.

Center for Refugee Services: receives our financial support to help vulnerable and underserved, legally resettled refugee families in the San Antonio area, including the hill country.

Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries receives our financial and volunteer support, and support for several specific food & clothing drives throughout the year.

Hill Country Family Services receives financial support and donations from St. Mark, and are co-coordinators with us for community programs including the Boerne CROP & Hunger Walk and Seize the Awkward: A Mental Health Awareness Program for Teens.

Hill Country Mission for Health receives our financial support to provide healthcare for low income, underinsured adults in Kendall County.

Hill Country Pregnancy Care receives financial support and St. Mark supports their annual fundraising gala.

Kendall County Women’s Shelter receives financial support for their work with those in crisis.

Love Kendall County Kids programs improve the quality of life for children and families in our community throughout the year, including the Love Kendall County Kids Summer Food Drive.
