Mission and Vision
Our vision is safety, community and a home for every pet in the Hill Country. We dream of a community with no pet overpopulation. Our mission is to give every pet in the Hill Country the best life possible through successful rescue, adoption, community relationships, awareness, and advocacy.
ADOPT: Part of our responsibility as members of the HCSPCA team is to find our rescued animals loving, forever homes. We want to ensure that the animal you wish to adopt is well suited for you, your family, your home, and your lifestyle.
FOSTER: We LOVE our fosters! Foster care provides a much needed break from shelter life. The shelter can be a loud, overwhelming place for our animals. A lot of times when we get new animals in they are confused, nervous, and scared. Fostering provides them a calm, quieter environment to be able to heal from their trauma and allow their true personalities to shine! Most of our fosters are neonatal animals too young for adoption, those recovering from surgery or other health issues. For some of these animals landing a foster home is a life or death situation. In other cases it provides a much needed quality of life benefit. Fostering a shelter animal is a very rewarding experience for the foster and the animal. We allow short term and long term fosters. Whether you have a week or a month to give our animals a safe place to crash it helps tremendously!
VOLUNTEER: The Hill Country SPCA was founded by volunteers and continues to depend on volunteers for its ongoing success. Whatever your special skill may be, we can use you!
If you are looking for a fun, rewarding way to give back to your community, join us in improving the lives of companion animals in the Texas Hill Country while meeting like minded people.
As a Hill Country SPCA Volunteer you will assist our staff and provide the highest-quality care possible for our shelter animals. By joining our team of dedicated volunteers, you will help us save more lives, build relationships with other volunteers, our community, and the animals themselves. With your help, we will continue to save more lives and find these loving animals forever homes.
DONATE: Hill Country SPCA is a private 501(c)3 non-profit, we do not receive any city, county, state, or federal funding. Our organization is completely reliant on grant funding and private donors like yourself who allow us to continue our lifesaving work. All donations are tax deductible.
