Comfort, Texas, has been home to a Chamber of Commerce since 1946, established to serve the business community, visitors and residents in Comfort and the surrounding area. In addition to our Comfort members, our membership has grown to include businesses in Boerne, Center Point, Fredericksburg, Kerrville, Sisterdale and Waring, and we are now known as the Greater Comfort Area Chamber of Commerce.

Our Chamber is governed by a Board of Directors with 9 to 11 members and an Executive Director.

Comfort hosts a number of annual community events, many of which are sponsored directly by the Comfort Chamber. These events include a Town Wide Garage Sale, the July 4th Celebration Parade and BBQ, Fall Arts Festival, Scarecrow Invasion Contest, Diva Day, Girls’ Night Out, Christmas In Comfort Extravaganza which includes Arts and Crafts, a Food Court and our Lighted Night Parade and Fireworks, plus the Holiday Lighting and Decorating Contest. We also hold an annual Chamber Banquet, Quarterly Membership Luncheons and our annual Membership Drive.

We produce a high-quality weekly e-mail newsletter, The Weekly Wind, whose purpose is to promote our members’ events. We also submit press releases to local newspapers and other publications to let folks know what’s happening in Comfort. And there is almost always something happening in and around Comfort!
In addition the Comfort Chamber maintains a website for Chamber members at www.ComfortChamber.com. Each business member has an individual webpage on the site with their contact information and that can link to their own website or Facebook page.

Comfort Chamber is also responsible for scheduling and maintaining Comfort Park. This area includes an Indoor Pavilion, an Outdoor Pavilion, a Gazebo, and a state-of-the-art Playground. These facilities are available for rent and for public use.
The Chamber Office is open Tuesday through Saturdays, from 10 am to 3 pm. We invite our members to provide us with rack cards, brochures, business cards and other promotional materials that are available to visitors, new residents and community members and area businesses. Additionally, we sell T-Shirts imprinted with I Found Comfort in Texas, as well as our Christmas version that reads April in Paris, Autumn in New York, Christmas in Comfort. We also have koozies, fans and post cards for sale.
