Mission and Vision
OUR MISSION
The members of Christ of the Hills Church are each and collectively committed to the Great Commandment of Christ (love the Lord with all your heart, mind and soul and love your neighbor as yourselves) and His great commission to go and make disciples, baptizing them and teaching them everything Christ has commanded.
We aspire to have a positive impact on the Boerne area by opening our doors to anyone who wishes to experience the grace of God through the study of the Scriptures, preaching of the Word of God and ministry to the needs of others.
WE BELIEVE…
We believe the main reason the Church exists is to learn about Christ so that we can proclaim Him to the world. Therefore, Bible study is an essential part of Christ of the Hills Church.
We are also called to worship Christ with joy and build each other up in fellowship and service. Being a part of the Church body is living life in a community that helps each other thrive.
Description
SUNDAY SCHEDULE:
9:30 am BIBLE STUDY
10:30 am FELLOWSHIP
11:00 am WORSHIP
ADULT BIBLE STUDY
Everyone, regardless of age, who joins in fellowship at Christ of the Hills Church is strongly encouraged to engage in the study of the Bible by participating in a facilitated open group discussion.
Our experience is that the study of Scripture brings about freedom from bondage and a new life that desires to serve God in whatever way He may call us. We believe that the study of God’s word will make known His love, mercy, grace, and truth as fully revealed in His Son, Jesus Christ.
PRAYER
Join us every Sunday for a time of prayer.
FELLOWSHIP
We take time every Sunday morning to be together, to connect and learn more about each other.
WORSHIP
We hope to model reverent and joyous praise of our Lord God Almighty as reflected throughout Scripture. As a reformed church, our Order of Worship follows a liturgical model. The term “liturgical” describes the various means of engaging the congregation in the act of worship of our Lord and Savior.”
We seek to offer a variety of worship music which includes hymns as well as contemporary songs and videos to enhance our worship and to speak to the diversity of our congregation.
CHILDREN’S SUNDAY SCHOOL
9:30 - 10:30 am
Children enjoy Sunday School in age-appropriate class groups.
Childcare is provided during the 11:00 a.m. worship for children who have not yet entered 1st grade.
Each week our teachers create a new lesson to teach our children God’s story through the Scriptures so they will know about the love of God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
