Mission and Vision
Contemplative Outreach San Antonio (COSA) is a local chapter of Contemplative Outreach, an international organization of individuals dedicated to living the contemplative dimension of the Gospel in everyday life.
We are facilitated by an ecumenical group of women and men serving together as a Servant Leadership Team, collaborating to support those who want to deepen their relationship with God through the practice of Centering Prayer in the San Antonio and Hill Country Area.
What is Centering Prayer?
Centering Prayer is a receptive method of Christian silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer, a prayer in which we experience God’s presence within us, closer than breathing, closer than thinking, closer than consciousness itself.
Description
Service Teams
Anyone with an established Centering Prayer practice in this area is invited to discern whether they want to serve Centering Prayer in the San Antonio area with the team. If you would like to explore a call to join in this service please contact us.
COSA’s Servant Leadership Team meets the third Tuesday of each month at noon. We are seeking Team Leaders and Members.
