Mission and Vision
The natural beauty of the Texas Hill Country is one of the many incredible reasons people choose to make Boerne, Texas home. At the Boerne Parks Association, we want to work together as a community to make sure that everyone can enjoy that natural beauty at parks and green spaces around the area.
Our mission statement is simple:
The purpose of the Boerne Parks Association is to promote and support the creation, maintenance and sustainability of parks and green spaces for use by the public in and around Boerne, Texas and Kendall County.
We plan to fulfill our mission statement by undertaking individual projects around Boerne, working closely with city and county officials as well as other community organizations. Our hope? To aid in connecting our community, enhancing our public spaces for public use, and sustaining our green spaces for generations to come.
Description
Connect
Parks are about connection—connecting a community to the natural environment around them and also creating spaces for people to connect with each other. Boerne Parks Association will always seek to support projects where these connections can happen.
Enhance
Each of the projects supported by Boerne Parks Association will seek to enhance the space for public use. This includes restoring and enhancing the natural beauty of our Hill Country landscapes. It also means improving areas to make them more usable by the public.
Sustain
Boerne Parks Association will seek to create sustainable spaces that can be used by all generations, young and old, for many years to come. Our hope is that the children who enjoy our park spaces today will be able to bring their own children to the same spaces in the future.
