Mission and Vision
GABC supports the Boerne High School Athletic Department, individual sport programs, coaches, parents, and student athletes. The sports programs have zero budgets and require funds from GABC to operate and in turn require supplementation from parents and the community. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that seeks charitable contributions through memberships that are considered tax deductible donations.
Description
The Greyhound Athletic Booster Club (GABC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports the Boerne High School (BHS) Athletic Department. BHS sports programs operate on limited budgets and require additional funding from parents and the community. The board currently consist of six members who report to Stan Leech, the BISD athletic director. GABC is responsible for approving requests submitted by the coaches as to their needs for each of their teams. The contributions GABC receives in a given year are derived from booster club memberships, corporate sponsorships and fundraisers throughout the year. In a given year, GABC provides approximately $150,000 of funding towards BHS sports programs. The expenses include but are not limited to equipment, training, uniforms, software platforms, meals and transportation not provided by the state or district.
