Mission and Vision

Bergheim Christian Fellowship strives to be a community of Kingdom People living on Kingdom Purpose. As such, we seek to instill a truly “missional” DNA in every member of the church. Kingdom People understand that their citizenship, through faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, is in heaven (Phil. 3:20). Because of this transformational reality, Kingdom People realign their priorities and use their resources to live according to the purposes and values of their heavenly kingdom, striving to zealously please their King (Titus 2:14). In short, Kingdom People are saved by grace through faith, and this is a gift from God. We are not saved BY good works, instead we are saved FOR good works (Eph. 2:8-9). We live lives controlled by the love of God (2 Cor. 5:14-15) for evangelical purposes (Matt. 28:18-20), not regarding others according to the flesh, but the Spirit (2 Cor. 5:16-21).

Description

Bergheim Christian Fellowship is a new church whose first service will be September 11, 2022. Services will be held at Voss Elementary School in Bergheim, 45 Voss Parkway. Please visit our website to become part of this church seed-planting and watch it grow!

How it all started...
Every church that is planted has a seed from which it grows. The seed of Bergheim Christian Fellowship is being cast by Currey Creek Church in Boerne; whose seed was cast by First Baptist Church of Boerne. At the heart of this story is a commitment to plant churches. This vision was first shared in our area by Bubba Stahl in 2000 when he implemented the radical idea to plant another church in Boerne. This generosity and kingdom-mindedness was shared by John Free whom FBC brought in to be their church planter. That seed has not only taken root and grown, but it has multiplied!

We need you ...
Those who have been a part of a church plant know that it takes everyone to make the plant a reality. While the work required every week gets tiring, the joy of working together for a common mission is invigorating. We need you! Please see our website to learn of and commit to service in a wide variety of areas including supporting the ministry of The Cup @ Bergheim, BCF's outreach to the community.
