Mission and Vision
Mission Statement: We are called to seek God in community and to respond in ministry through sharing our spirituality and addressing the needs of the people we serve, especially the poor.
The Health and Wholeness Center is a ministry of the Benedictine Sisters of Boerne. It serves as an ecumenical “home away from home” for individuals ages fifty and older. Its overall purpose is to address the needs of the whole person by providing programs designed to enhance the wellness of body, mind, and spirit.
The success of the Health and Wholeness Center is due in part to its philosophy for volunteerism which embraces a theme of “Seniors Serving Seniors”. Nearly 30 members volunteer throughout the year at the Health and Wholeness Center in various capacities including program leadership, grounds beautification, and special events.
The Center offers activities Monday thru Friday including water exercise classes and lap swimming in an enclosed, Olympic size pool with regulated temperatures. Regularly scheduled art and fitness classes are also offered as well as opportunities to socialize.
We invite you to come by the center for a visit/tour and see for yourself how the Health and Wholeness Center can benefit your quality of life. Please call to schedule an appointment to visit, 830-816-8470 ext. 1.
