The Health and Wholeness Center is a ministry of the Benedictine Sisters of Boerne. It serves as an ecumenical “home away from home” for individuals ages fifty and older. Its overall purpose is to address the needs of the whole person by providing programs designed to enhance the wellness of body, mind, and spirit.

The success of the Health and Wholeness Center is due in part to its philosophy for volunteerism which embraces a theme of “Seniors Serving Seniors”. Nearly 30 members volunteer throughout the year at the Health and Wholeness Center in various capacities including program leadership, grounds beautification, and special events.

The Center offers activities Monday thru Friday including water exercise classes and lap swimming in an enclosed, Olympic size pool with regulated temperatures. Regularly scheduled art and fitness classes are also offered as well as opportunities to socialize.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Must be age 50 or older. Under age 50 individuals are eligible to use the indoor swimming pool with a doctor's referral.

COST TO CLIENT: One-time registration fee; Monthly fee for pool use.
