Mission and Vision
Ablaze Ministries exists to transform the Church through mission to youth.
The Ablaze Youth Outreach (AYO) initiative is a mission to bring the love of Christ to young people, many of whom are experiencing a faith community for the first time. This translates into thousands of young lives profoundly impacted; youth who are given a place of belonging, guided into a relationship with Christ, and formed as disciples. We can ensure mentorship and outreach are accessible and consistent, reaching students who might otherwise feel isolated or unsupported. For many, our missionaries and volunteers will bridge faith and the complex, often challenging realities they face. We envision this impact as transformative for each individual, ultimately creating a ripple effect that strengthens families, schools, and communities with the values and hope only Christ can bring.

Across Kendall County, we are seeing the same situations again and again: Young people are searching for identity, belonging, and purpose. Parents are asking for safe, faith-filled spaces after school. Schools and churches are stretched thin and are struggling to do it alone. Ablaze Youth Outreach exists to step into the gap. We aren't stepping in with programs, but with consistent relationships, intentional mentorship, and real accompaniment.
Ablaze Youth Outreach is the direct mentorship and evangelization arm of Ablaze Ministries. We walk with students long before a crisis and long after the moment passes. We aren't here to just host events. We build relationships that change trajectories. In communities where we are fully launched, we see:
Increased engagement in church life,
Improved school behavior and attendance,
Students choosing faith when no one expected them to.
The Outreach Center makes this sustainable and scalable in Boerne / Kendall County.
HOW WE'RE WALKING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE:
Community Outreach: Tuesdays - Thursdays 4-6pm; We meet students in nearby parks and welcome them at the Outreach Center for snacks, games, homework help, and a safe place to belong before heading home.
Free Frijole Friday: 1st Friday of every month; Free bean and cheese tacos are offered to high school seniors during their lunch period. We partner with local churches, offering students a place to gather & connecting them with local youth leaders.
One-to-One Mentorship: Consistent, Trusted Support; Trained and approved adult mentors help local students and youth referred to Ablaze by Kendall County Juvenile Probation build life skills, make healthy decisions, and pursue meaningful goals.
Faith Based Small Groups: Twice a month; Gender-specific groups, led by trained adults, give students a safe, welcoming place to build friendships, pray, explore Scripture, and grow in their relationship with Jesus.
Safe, Prepared Leaders: Screened - Equipped; Mentors, volunteers and missionaries complete background checks and safeguarding requirements, with ongoing training in CPR/First Aid, trauma-informed care, ++.
Church + Community: Stronger Together; We connect young people and families with local churches and community resources where they can find lasting fellowship, practical support, and opportunities to flourish.
